I Finally Beat My Dad In Chess - Read My Chess Strategy Review
by Louis Presume
I was introduced to chess at a young age and it was something that honestly kept me off the streets and also encourage me to use my head in tough situations. My father was very good in chess. He would always spend his spare time playing it with his friends and he would as hold competitions that would always win in. These competitions would go on for hours on end. They would wager huge amounts of money and the winner would leave happy of course, but for some odd reason my dad would always win these chess competitions.
When I began playing chess I never really paid much attention to my dads strategies, I was just happy that me and my dad were spending quality father and son time together, but of course when you play someone for so long and lose so many times to him, you'll want to finally beat that person to put an end to there ranting and raving about how better they are to you, and also to show a little bit more pride in your self. But for some weird reason I could never beat him, the older I got the more wiser and aware I was to exposing his moves. Around the age of 14 I came to the ultimate conclusion that he was just doing the same thing every time we play.
As pathetic as our matches got, I would begin to beat my dad over and over again, with out even having to think as much, this is something I took great pride in, and man did it crush his ego. He would no longer be able to beat me, but when you achieve so much success from beating someone, you'll begin to feel sympathy and let that person win. A great quote I use to use, "Don't worry dad it's just a game, in the back of my mind I'm like "Yeah Right" all that crap I endured when I use to lose from that old man.
But you show leadership by not being a tyrant or stooping to his level, you dismantle the individual and you move on about your day. I can honestly say that chess has taught life values that I am now very aware of, this game is designed to challenge obstacles that a normal person would go through. You can also apply this game to other problems that you are facing, and begin to devise a strategy that enable you to over come these problems.
